ICC World Cup 2023: The International Cricket Council announced the fixtures for the 2023 Cricket World Cup on Tuesday, June 27. One of the biggest cricket tournaments in the world will start on October 5th and end on November 19th. The opening and final match of this tournament will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The other nine locations are Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Dharamshala, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Pune. Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram will join hands with Hyderabad to host the practice games.
Defending champions England face New Zealand in Ahmedabad in a much-anticipated clash between the 2019 World Cup finalists, while hosts India take on five-time champions Australia in Chennai on October 8.
Ahmedabad will also host the most anticipated matches between arch-rivals India and Pakistan on October 15 and Australia and England on November 4.

A total of eight teams have qualified for the 46-day event through the Cricket World Cup Super League, while the last two spots will be taken by the finalists of the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers to be held in Zimbabwe.
Zimbabwe Out To Dazzle On The Big Stage
The tournament retains the round-robin format from last time, with all teams playing each other in a total of 45 league matches. There are six daily matches that will start at 10:30 am IST, while all other matches, including the qualifiers, will start at 2:00 pm IST.
The four best teams will qualify for the semi-finals, which will be played in Mumbai on November 15th and in Kolkata on November 16th. Semifinals and finals will have reserved days.
India are yet to announce a list of candidates for the World Cup and are expected to start making calls after the West Indies series. India will also play in the Asia Cup, which will be played in the 50-over format, after which India is expected to focus on the possible final selection for the ODI World Cup.

India will await England in Lucknow on October 29, who defeated them in the semi-finals of the 2022 T20 World Cup last year.
The first semi-final will be held in Mumbai on Wednesday, November 15 and the second semi-final in Kolkata the next day. Both semifinals will have reserve days.
